obstructed

Our understanding of fact is determined by personal or trusted observation, which undoubtedly catalogs experiences as truth. Concrete truth, however, is distorted as an abundance of raw information is absorbed and what was once understandable is now misinterpreted. Fact is now archived in an altered state and when recalled, truth obstructs truth. Concrete tiles dissect graphite renderings of animal forms confusing what is seen layered with what is seemingly known. Overlapped and intertangled imagery further pushes our material understanding of what is concrete leaving us questioning reality. Observation and deciphering abilities are challenged, reality is rationalized from personal experience shaping one’s interpretations.
